The Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, investment, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Central team comprises systems development and support specialists that provide support to departments such as HR Services, Finance, Corporate Services, Legal and Compliance, Risk and Technology across various geographic locations. The services include Production Support of in-house developed application and vendor provided products, small scale enhancements and product.
Data Management Specialist with strong expertise in data cataloguing, data quality, data governance, and solid exposure to data modelling and architecture. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and data modellers to define and manage critical data assets, maintain high-quality metadata, and strengthen data governance practices across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with enterprise metadata tools, a deep understanding of data lifecycle and lineage, and the ability to translate complex data concepts into structured documentation and catalogues. This position requires a minimum of 12+ years of IT experience, with at least 6 years in data management or related functions, to work in the Enterprise Data Management team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate defining and implementing solutions to manage critical data elements, data lineage, business glossary, associated technical and business metadata in accordance with Data Governance policies and standards by conducting interviews, workshops ,use cases and workflow analysis with the business stakeholders
2. Work hands-on with metadata/cataloguing tools such as Collibra, IKC or equivalent.
3. Build understanding of the business data landscape and document data lifecycle and dependencies.
4. Design and implement lineage frameworks, standards, and solution approaches to ensure consistent traceability and impact assessment across the data lifecycle.
5. Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders to understand data flows, dependencies, and use cases.
6. Work with solution architects across the different portfolios to define where our data currently sits and drawing out the roadmap to get to the ideal state of data.
7. Work with the data modeller to produce data mapping documentation from source to the target logical data model or conceptual data model.
8. Analysing the impact of upstream changes , in terms of data and communicating downstream impact, understanding the data lifecycle and help creating data catalogues.

1. Capable of querying databases using SQL and working with large and complex data sets
2. Good understanding of data modelling concepts and ability to interpret or review data models to support mapping, lineage, and cataloguing activities.
3. Experience of working with agile methodologies.
4. Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate team
5. Develop strategies to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs or regulatory compliance initiatives.
6. Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends-Data profiling.
7. Identification of key data issues in line with the identified critical data elements and liaising with the data quality teams and central governance teams to develop data quality rules to improve the data maturity.
