Role Summary

iDream Education is looking for a high-energy, mission-driven person for the position of Specialist – CSR and Social Impact Fundraising to drive and manage institutional fundraising from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mandates, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), and Foundations. This role is central to scaling iPrep's reach to underprivileged K-12 students across India, in partnership with social sector organisations and corporate donors.

The team member will own the entire fundraising lifecycle — from prospect research and pipeline development, to proposal negotiation, partnership closure, post-partnership reporting, and renewal — ensuring sustained revenue growth and lasting donor relationships. The role also requires having and managing close cross-functional collaboration with Program/Impact, Marketing, and Business Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities And Deliverables

  • Fundraising Strategy & Pipeline Management
  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Conduct detailed, ongoing, targeted research to identify and qualify new potential partners — CSR funders, Domestic & International Foundations, and NGOs — whose mandates align with K-12 education, digital literacy, and social equity in India.
  • Fundraising Pipeline Ownership: Build and rigorously manage a well-structured fundraising pipeline using a CRM or tracking tool, covering prospect identification, outreach status, proposal stage, negotiation, closure, and renewal.
  • RFP & Opportunity Mapping: Actively monitor and respond to RFP opportunities in the development sector for Education; identify aligned grant programmes from bilateral, multilateral, and private philanthropic sources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively network and secure introductory fundraising conversations with key decision-makers — Corporate CSR Heads, NGO/Foundation Trustees, Directors, and Programme Heads — to drive partnership growth.
  • Proposal Development & Partner Acquisition
  • Proposal & Grant Writing: Draft and customise high-quality, persuasive grant applications, funding proposals, and presentations that clearly connect iDream's impact model to each partner's specific CSR/development objectives, mandate, and compliance requirements.
  • Collateral Coordination: Handle all partner-facing communications related to fundraising, coordinating the drafting of MoUs, agreements, and internal documentation in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Negotiation & Partnership Closure: Participate in proposal negotiations, finalise terms, and execute partnership agreements to successfully meet quarterly and annual fundraising targets.
  • Due Diligence Support: Facilitate partner due diligence processes and ensure iDream's compliance documentation, impact credentials, and audit reports are always current and accessible.
  • Donor Lifecycle Management & Reporting
  • Upselling & Account Growth: Maintain post-closure engagement with key partners to identify opportunities for programme expansion, upselling, and multi-year renewal of existing partnerships.
  • Impact Tracking & MIS: Track the overall progress of funded programmes through periodic analysis of usage data and impact metrics — student usage, learning outcomes, and programme KPIs — using iPrep's data dashboard. Maintain accurate MIS records for all CSR engagements.
  • Donor Reporting: Prepare and share accurate, timely, and impact-focused feedback emails, monthly reports, and presentations for corporate partners and programme funders, detailing the social and educational impact achieved.
  • Donor Database Management: Maintain an updated, well-organised funding database including prospect trackers, MoU logs, proposal status, fund utilisation records, and renewal timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communications
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Business Operations, Impact, Product, and Marketing teams to gather program data, coordinate implementation support for partners, manage and ensure effective program delivery.
  • Communication Ownership: Own day-to-day internal and external communications related to the social sector growth portfolio. Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop donor-specific impact stories, thought-leadership content, and sector-positioned communications.
  • Ecosystem-Led Content Strategy: Provide data-backed input and field intelligence on donor priorities and sector trends to shape thought-leadership content, sector reports, and events that elevate iDream's visibility in the CSR/social sector.
  • Non-Profit Collaboration: Demonstrate direct experience or strong exposure to working effectively with non-profits, CSR companies, and Foundations to build and manage a collaborative network.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or a related field (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline with strong, demonstrated fundraising experience will also be considered.

Experience

  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in CSR fundraising, institutional BD, NGO partnerships, or social sector resource mobilisation.
  • Proven track record in grant writing, proposal development, and CSR donor acquisition in the education or social development sector, managing end-to-end fundraising cycles independently.
  • Prior experience in an EdTech company, education-focused NGO, or multi-state social sector organisation strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing donor funds, compliance, and fund utilisation reporting.
  • Experience in consulting or data-driven decision-making will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements

  • Based in Gurgaon (mandatory). Must be willing to travel across India as per business needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in raising funds for charitable causes, particularly for social impact in Education.
  • Strong commitment to working towards the upliftment of underprivileged children in India through education.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the CSR, NGO, and foundation ecosystem.
  • Strong presentation skills — ability to effectively pitch programmes and articulate social ROI.
  • Capability to produce high-quality documentation: proposals, impact reports, concept notes, MoUs.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); working knowledge of CRM tools or fundraising databases.
  • Ability to interpret impact data and apply basic analytical skills to assess partnership opportunities and measure outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of CSR regulatory framework (Schedule VII, Companies Act), compliance requirements, and due diligence processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams — Marketing, Impact, and Product — to co-create materials and drive program delivery.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with high energy, self-direction, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under strict timelines.
  • Open to using AI to build leads, write customised emails, prepare proposals. This is a must have requirement for this role

What We're Looking For

  • Growth Mindset: Possesses the energy and capability for tremendous growth in learning and the confidence to take on end-to-end responsibility for assigned fundraising targets.
  • Core Traits: We seek candidates who embody an undistracted mind, an aspiration for holistic growth, humility, discipline, clear and adequate communication, and self-confidence to learn and do anything.
  • Team Player: A committed individual who collaborates effectively with internal functions and external organisations to scale our solutions and maximise impact.
  • Mission Alignment: A genuine passion for education equity and a strong personal commitment to improving learning outcomes for underprivileged children in India.
