We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Special Educators to join our multidisciplinary team at our client organization. The role involves assessing children with special needs, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), conducting one-on-one and group sessions, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with therapists, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children with special needs, possess patience and empathy, and be committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assessing the academic, social, and functional needs of children with special needs.
- Designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique requirements.
- Collaborating with therapists (Speech, Occupational, Behavioral, etc.), psychologists, and parents to support overall progress.
- Using structured teaching methods and evidence-based approaches such as ABA, TEACCH, and PECS.
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting student progress regularly.
- Preparing teaching materials and adapting curriculum to suit different learning abilities.
- Conducting parent counseling and training sessions.
- Maintaining professional records and contributing to case discussions and team meetings.
- Participating in workshops, training programs, and awareness initiatives organized by CAPAAR
Requirements:
- B.Ed / D.Ed in Special Education (ASD / ID / Multiple Disabilities) from a recognized institute.
- RCI registration is mandatory.
- Prior experience working with children with autism, ID, or multiple disabilities preferred.
- Good understanding of special education methodologies, behavior management, and assistive learning strategies.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Empathy, patience, and adaptability to work with diverse learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setup.
