Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Spanish to join our language department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish to students in middle school, fostering a love for the language, and building students proficiency in reading, writing, and conversational Spanish. This position requires a strong command of Spanish language and culture, along with a passion for teaching and the ability to engage young learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
  • Develop and implement activities to improve students language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Assess and evaluate students progress through assignments, tests, and oral proficiency.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to be actively involved in the learning process.
  • Integrate cultural components to enhance students understanding and appreciation of Spanish-speaking countries.
  • Utilize various teaching methods, resources, and technology to maximize student learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align language curriculum and share best practices.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and other school activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
  • Prior experience teaching Spanish at the school level is preferred.
  • Strong command of the Spanish language, with native or near-native fluency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students with different learning abilities.
