About the Role
We are looking for a Freelance Spanish Instructional Designer to support ongoing projects by translating English educational content into high-quality, culturally appropriate Spanish. This role is ideal for experienced freelancers who are comfortable working with structured course content and meeting defined timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate English course and learning content into Spanish with accuracy and clarity
- Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and instructional intent across modules
- Follow provided style guides, writing guidelines, and branding requirements
- Review and refine translated content based on internal and client feedback
- Support translation reviews during Canvas LMS integration
- Attend client meetings as required to discuss requirements, clarify feedback, and provide updates
- Deliver work as per agreed timelines and quality benchmarks
Required Qualifications
- Native or near-native Spanish speaker with strong English proficiency
- Experience with Canvas LMS (Mandatory)
- Proven experience as a freelance English-to-Spanish translator
- Prior experience translating educational, training, or eLearning content
- Strong command of grammar, syntax, and localization best practices
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage deadlines independently in a remote setup
Preferred Experience
- Experience with shared documents and online collaboration tools
- Familiarity with Canvas LMS, including reviewing and validating translated content
- Ability to navigate course structures (modules, pages, assignments, quizzes) for translation review and updates
Deliverables
- Completed Spanish translations aligned with approved style guides and project standards
- Revised deliverables incorporating internal and client feedback within agreed timelines
- Review and validation of translated content within Canvas LMS, ensuring accuracy and formatting integrity
- Resolution of client feedback by updating translation, context, and display issues across course components
