Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electronics package-level thermal analysis
  • Develop FE and thermal models for electronic packages
  • Perform thermal analysis of PCBs and carrier plate-based avionics subsystems
  • Optimize thermal design to ensure electronics reliability in space environments
  • Analyze thermal test data to verify design performance and resolve issues
  • Generate detailed thermal analysis reports
  • Carry out satellite-level orbital thermal analysis
  • Develop FE and thermal models for complete satellite systems
  • Perform orbital thermal analysis and optimize spacecraft thermal architecture
  • Contribute to spacecraft thermal design and management
  • Design thermal control elements like coatings, radiators, heaters, insulation
  • Provide inputs during design reviews for thermal compliance
  • Assist in developing innovative thermal solutions for future missions
  • Support thermal testing and implementation
  • Assist in planning and executing thermal vacuum tests
  • Analyze thermal test data to validate models and improve design
  • Implement thermal elements such as heaters, sensors, thermal tapes, MLI

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering
  • Strong understanding of conduction, convection, and radiation
  • Proficiency in thermal analysis tools (e.g., Siemens NX)
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Inventor)
  • Experience with PCB modeling tools (e.g., NX PCB Exchange) is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and precision
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
