Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Space Teacher - Fresher role based in Dwarka. The Space Teacher will introduce students to astronomy and space science concepts through interactive classroom sessions, hands-on activities, and demonstrations. The role involves planning and delivering lessons aligned with SPACE's curriculum, simplifying complex scientific topics for school-level learners, and encouraging inquiry-based learning. The Space Teacher will conduct workshops, assist in astronomy clubs or events, support telescope observation sessions, and maintain teaching materials and equipment. The role also includes collaborating with other educators, providing feedback on student progress, and participating in training sessions to continuously develop subject knowledge and teaching skills.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with a genuine interest in working with school-age learners.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication and Training skills to explain scientific concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Candidates should possess Lesson Planning skills to design structured, engaging, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
  • Basic understanding or strong interest in astronomy, space science, or physical sciences; a degree in science, education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct interactive, activity-based sessions and manage classroom dynamics in an on-site school environment.
  • Willingness to learn SPACE curricula, use telescopes and simple lab equipment, and participate in occasional events or observation sessions beyond regular hours.
  • Openness to feedback, enthusiasm for continuous learning, and a supportive, student-focused approach; prior teaching or training internships are an advantage but not mandatory.
