Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide massage services to guests, utilizing various props and/or products.
  • Deliver body treatments to guests, which may include body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy.
  • Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) prior to commencing any service.
  • Stay updated on current techniques and modalities relevant to their field.
  • Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
  • Arrange and prepare the workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes.
  • Consistently check in with guests throughout the service to ensure their comfort, safety, and security.
  • Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings.
  • Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and/or treatment room throughout the shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and adhere to the time schedule throughout the day.
  • Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International's standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment or service and informing a supervisor/manager.
  • Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as per regional requirements.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to a manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Utilize fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Required Qualifications

  • License or Certification: State or Regional Massage License.
