Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a South Indian Chef located in Mumbai. The South Indian Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting traditional South Indian dishes with attention to taste and authenticity. Responsibilities also include creating menus, selecting fresh and high-quality ingredients, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The chef will work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficiency and excellence in delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of authentic South Indian cuisine.
- Culinary skills in menu planning, food presentation, and food safety practices.
- Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Experience in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, equipment handling, and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and manage time efficiently.
- Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a South Indian Chef or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- A passion for South Indian cuisine and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
