Job Description

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage all RFQs for a manufacturing or service site. Getting competitive offers while achieving the defined Deflation KPIs.
  • Contribute to executing and implementation of Sourcing defined strategy for each commodity or Supplier.
  • Work towards achieving specific defined KPIs set by product line.
  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement. Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
  • Detects and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements.
  • Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
  • Contributes to project as a team member. Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete, and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months
  • Strong knowledge of API6A products and Sourcing Process.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing).
  • Have strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Have the ability to influence others and lead small teams as well as coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Have the ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Have effective problem identification and solution skills as well as proven analytical and organizational ability.
