ROLE PROFILE
Group Procurement is responsible for managing third-party supplier engagements, partnering with the business to drive high performance and sustainable value from our supplier relationships. We aim to make LSEG easier and more attractive to do business with and we consider our suppliers as a source of competitive advantage and not just about cost.
We operate a business partnering and supplier relationship management (SRM) model, aligned to stakeholder groups and spend categories, ensuring value through early and strategic engagement and insightful vendor spend analytics.
Some key characteristics of the Group Procurement organisation:
- Supplier spend c 2BN and c. 5,000 suppliers
- Team structured around:
- Two delivery towers aligned to the master categories of spend (Technology, Services and Corporate), focused on category management, sourcing, supplier relationship management and business partnering
- A Strategy & Performance centre, enabling function to drive and implement the strategy of the Group Procurement function, best in class procurement policy and processes.
- Key hubs for the category teams in London, Bangalore and New York with a small amount of decentralised activity to support local markets which are in various global locations including Europe and Asia
As Manager, Procurement Shared Services, you will lead, develop and empower a team responsible for approving Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and onboarding new suppliers across the LSEG group.
You will drive operational excellence, strengthen controls, ensure compliance with procurement standards and deliver a seamless P2P experience for global internal clients and suppliers.
This role reports to the Head of Strategy & Performance, Group Procurement and you will be part of a transforming procurement organisation focused on innovation, digitisation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Procurement Shared Service Center (PSSC) team (4 FTE) responsible for PR approvals (managing c. 3bn annual spend) and onboarding approximately 1,000 new suppliers per year.
- Ensure consistent delivery of highquality, compliant procurement services in line with policies and SLAs.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex PR, PO and onboarding issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in P2P processes, data quality, workflow efficiency and control frameworks.
- Ensure strong compliance with procurement policy, contract standards, and governance requirements.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for P2P processes, advising internal clients and minimising operational risk.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to resolve quality, supplier, and system issues proactively.
- Maintain complete and accurate data across procurement tools
- Support enhancements, implementation and optimisation of procurement technology solutions.
- Partner with global category teams, finance, suppliers, business stakeholders and shared service functions.
- Help internal clients navigate procurement processes, exceptions and system queries
Essential Experience
Proven experience in procurement or buying roles.
Proven track record managing procurement shared services or operational procurement teams.
Experience In Global, Multicountry, Complex Organisations (banking/FinTech Preferred).
Strong understanding of P2P processes, PR/PO workflow, supplier onboarding and controls.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
Professional Procurement qualification desirable (e.g., MCIPS, IAACM, IIMM).
Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP is advantageous.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in procurement systems and tools.
Strong analytical skills (spend analysis, reporting, data accuracy).
Knowledge of procurement policy, compliance, control and contracting frameworks.
Ability to manage multiple ERPs and tools simultaneously
