Position: Sourcing Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Engineer to join our team and handle supplier relationships with strong negotiation and sourcing skills. The candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in working with the sourcing department with specialization in Sheet metal, castings, forgings, Machining and ready to work on other commodities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential suppliers and manage supplier relationships for metals such as Castings, forgings, Electricals, Sheet metal, machining and to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms for the company
- Develop and maintain a database of suppliers and track supplier performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and finance to ensure smooth procurement processes
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers and market trends
- Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for goods and services as needed
- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to reduce procurement costs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in working with the sourcing department
- Strong design (DFM) and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Results-driven, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel as required
- Should communicate fluently in Hindi
