Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sound Engineer / Studio Technician to manage and support recording studios, music rooms, live performances, and school events. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with sound systems, audio equipment setup, troubleshooting, and studio operations.
This role requires strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to support music education and live event environments efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Studio & Music Room Management
- Oversee the daily operations of recording studios and music rooms.
- Ensure all sound spaces maintain optimal acoustic quality and functionality.
- Organize and maintain professional studio setups for teaching, rehearsals, and practice sessions.
- Support smooth functioning of audio and music equipment.
Sound Engineering & Event Support
- Serve as the primary sound technician for performances, rehearsals, classes, and school events.
- Set up, test, and operate microphones, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, and related audio equipment.
- Monitor and balance sound levels during live events to ensure high-quality audio output.
- Troubleshoot and resolve real-time sound issues during events and sessions.
Equipment Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of sound equipment.
- Perform minor repairs and coordinate servicing when required.
- Maintain equipment inventory records and repair logs.
- Ensure all cables, instruments, and audio devices are properly stored and maintained.
Vendor & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing and upgrades.
- Manage warranties and service agreements.
- Assist with setup, packing, transportation, and handling of audio equipment for on-site and off-site events.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with music teachers, students, and event teams to support educational and creative projects.
- Provide technical guidance and operational support during music activities and performances.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in sound engineering, audio setup, or studio operations.
- Hands-on knowledge of mixers, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and PA systems.
- Understanding of live sound mixing and audio troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with recording studio environments and acoustic setup.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work during performances, rehearsals, and events as needed.
