Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sophis Risque Application Support Analyst to join our global trading technology support team. The role involves providing functional and technical support for the Sophis Risque platform, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance for front-office, middle-office, and risk users. The analyst will be responsible for incident management, user queries, system monitoring, and coordination with development teams for enhancements and fixes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 support for Sophis Risque in a production environment (trading, risk, operations users).
  • Monitor system health, batch jobs, and interfaces to upstream/downstream systems (market data, risk engines, settlement systems).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues, escalating to L3/dev teams or vendor (Finastra) when required.
  • Support critical trading activities and ensure low-latency, high-availability of the platform during market hours.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and problem records via ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • Collaborate with front office, risk, and operations to understand business workflows and provide functional expertise.
  • Perform environment management (UAT, SIT, PROD), deployment support, and version upgrades.
  • Contribute to automation of monitoring, log analysis, and support tasks (e.g., using Python/PowerShell scripts).
  • Document standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.

Skills & Experience

Functional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Sophis Risque (pricing, risk, P&L, market data, Greeks, VaR).
  • Exposure to multiple asset classes – Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, and Derivatives.
  • Understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle in investment banking.
  • Experience in risk management concepts (VaR, sensitivities, stress testing).

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with SQL (Oracle, SQL Server) for troubleshooting data issues.
  • Scripting knowledge: Python, Shell, PowerShell (for automation and log analysis).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and batch processing.
  • Basic knowledge of C++ or C# (since Sophis APIs/customizations often use them).
  • Knowledge of integration protocols (MQ, FIX, REST APIs) for upstream/downstream systems.

Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Sophis Risque Support Lead to oversee the application support team for the Sophis Risque platform. The role combines technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder management, ensuring the platform's stability, availability, and performance for front-office, risk, and operations teams. The manager will also drive process improvements, system upgrades, and vendor coordination to optimize the support function.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sophis Risque application support analysts (L1/L2/L3).
  • Assign and prioritize support tickets, incidents, and enhancement requests.
  • Drive performance management, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and ITIL-compliant processes.

Technical & Functional Oversight

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for complex functional and technical issues on Sophis Risque.
  • Oversee incidents, problem, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution of critical trading/risk issues.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and environment migrations with minimal disruption.
  • Collaborate with development teams and external vendors (Finastra) for enhancements, bug fixes, and escalations.
  • Monitor system health, performance metrics, and automated alerts; proactively address risks.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Liaise with front office, risk management, operations, and IT leadership to understand business priorities.
  • Provide regular updates on system performance, incidents, and planned upgrades to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements for risk and trading systems.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction within support operations.
  • Standardize operational procedures, reporting, and documentation for the support function.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with IT and business teams.
