JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Process Excellence & SOP Manager
Industry: Garment Manufacturing / Apparel / Ethnic Wear
Location: Delhi NCR
Experience Required: 610 years
Reporting To: Managing Director
ROLE PURPOSE
To design, document, implement, standardize, and continuously improve operational processes and SOPs across all factory and showroom departments, ensuring consistency, efficiency, accountability, and scalability of operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process Mapping & SOP Development
Map end-to-end workflows (As-Is and To-Be) across departments
Identify bottlenecks, gaps, and hand-off issues
Create clear SOPs with defined steps, responsibilities, timelines, and formats
2. SOP Implementation & Adoption
Drive SOP rollout across departments
Conduct SOP walkthroughs and training sessions
Ensure SOPs are practically followed on the shop floor
Continuously refine SOPs based on real-world feedback
3. Cross-Functional Process Alignment
Align workflows between Sampling, Merchandising, Cutting, Stitching, QC, Packing, Inventory, Showroom, and Accounts
Reduce rework, miscommunication, and dependency issues between departments
4. SOP Governance & Compliance
Create SOP repositories with version control
Track SOP adherence and deviations
Recommend corrective and preventive actions
5. Standardization & Control Systems
Standardize formats such as job cards, QC checklists, order processing formats, inventory movement records, and production trackers
Ensure data accuracy in coordination with data entry and order processing teams
6. Continuous Improvement & Scale Readiness
Identify opportunities to improve turnaround time, quality consistency, and operational efficiency
Prepare operations for higher volumes, export compliance, and future ERP adoption

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience
610 years of experience in garment manufacturing or factory operations
Prior exposure to ethnic wear / made-to-order garments preferred
Experience in process improvement, SOP creation, or operational excellence
Skills
Strong process and systems thinking
Excellent documentation and structuring skills
Hands-on factory floor exposure
Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and SOP documentation
Personality Traits
Methodical and detail-oriented
Calm, assertive, and practical
Able to work with senior management and shop-floor teams
Improvement-focused mindset

NOTE
This role requires hands-on factory experience and strong implementation capability. Candidates with purely consulting or documentation-only backgrounds are not suitable.
