About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Sonographers to join a leading NHS Trust in the UK. The role involves performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, providing accurate clinical assessment and reporting, and delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
General/Abdominal and specialist ultrasound including O&G, Small Parts, Vascular and Paediatric, depending on experience.
Perform and interpret ultrasound examinations independently.
Provide accurate clinical reports and support clinical decision-making.
Maintain high standards of patient care, safety and confidentiality.
Work effectively with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
Support teaching and mentoring of junior/student staff.
Participate in quality assurance, audit and service development.

Requirements:

Relevant degree in Radiography, Radiology, Medical Imaging or equivalent.
Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound / Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound / DMU or equivalent.
Strong clinical ultrasound experience.
Experience in relevant specialist areas such as General/Abdominal, O&G, Vascular, Small Parts or Paediatric Ultrasound.
Independent scanning and reporting experience.
HCPC Registration – Preferable.
Relevant ultrasound accreditation.
Good communication, clinical judgement and patient-care skills.
