About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Software QA Engineer with deep technical expertise in validating Network Operating System (NOS) abstractions, silicon APIs, and forwarding pipelines. You will take ownership of testing hardware-adjacent software layers, developing end-to-end test strategies, and automating complex packet-forwarding scenarios.

This role requires a unique blend of bare-metal networking knowledge, API testing acumen, and programmatic framework expansion.

Required Skillset: 

We are seeking a talented and experienced software QA engineer with deep expertise in at least two of the following. 

a. OCP SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface).

b. SDK for any networking ASIC. 

c. Layer 2 & layer 3 networking features.

d. Knowledge of networking ASIC pipelines Experience on test frameworks like PyTest, PTF etc. and ASIC API library testing is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities: 

● Test SDK & SAI features and API.

● Develop test strategy and test plans for SDK & SAI features.

● Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment. 

● Participate in reviews, design discussions, and documentation efforts Required Qualifications: 

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics engineering, or a related field.

● Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network software QA.

● Proficient in Python. 

● Experience with PTF (Packet Test Framework) and PyTest for validation. 

● Good grasp of networking features, concepts. 

● Some familiarity with network ASICs and switch hardware architecture. 

● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

● Can do, will do attitude, and a team player. 

Preferred Skills: 

● Experience with SAI Challenger network testing framework. 

● Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols (e.g., VLANs, STP, BGP, OSPF). 

● Familiarity with GenAI development tools.
