Solutions Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to deliver world-class warehousing solutions to clients across various industries. The role involves executing warehouse solution design and re-engineering projects alongside the Project Lead, ensuring value-addition and customer satisfaction.

The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for understanding business requirements, analysing supply chain data to draw meaningful inferences, and supporting the Project Lead in defining the optimal solution for the client. The role requires adherence to project timelines and effective work planning.

Engineers with a fair understanding of the warehousing domain and material handling technologies are desirable.

Responsibilities

1. The role is to use a combination of factors to propose the most appropriate solutions to clients for efficient warehouse operations, considering the client's expectations/requirements. These factors include an understanding of the clients industries and industry drivers, the analysis of customers business data, best practice DC design solutions in these industries, together with an ability to develop innovative solutions, and an excellent understanding of the warehouse automation technology.
2. Analyse customer business data and review and compare possible intralogistics solutions.
3. Use knowledge of industry trends and best-practice automation solutions to advise customers and internal teams.
4. Provide customer-facing consulting and design solutions, considering GOR products and supporting material handling equipment.
5. Engage with clients on technical solutions and obtain technical sign-off.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders by hosting design and technical reviews.
7. Utilise creativity techniques such as whiteboarding, brainstorming, and mind mapping.
8. Work with the Project Leader to keep projects on schedule and escalate issues as needed.
9. Maintain expert-level product and application knowledge.
10. Ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Requirements

24 years of experience in the warehouse industry

B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering

Hands-on experience in data analysis and MS Office

Exposure to warehouse/DC layout design and operations

Experience in supply chain data analysis

Understanding of warehouse automation technology

Experience in 2D/3D layouts using AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor

Knowledge of the multi-channel, fashion, food, and manufacturing sectors

Strong attention to detail

Project management skills
