Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end implementation of complex SFMC ecosystems for global clients. This role requires deep technical expertise in SFMC, hands-on solution design experience, and strong knowledge of multi-cloud architectures, including Salesforce Data Cloud.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with global stakeholders, define scalable architectures, guide development teams, and ensure successful delivery of marketing automation, personalization, and data-driven engagement solutions. This position combines technical leadership, strategic consulting, and architectural governance.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions aligned with client business objectives.
- Conduct business requirement workshops and translate functional needs into scalable SFMC configurations and technical specifications.
- Architect and implement SFMC solutions using Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Audience Builder.
- Design and configure marketing automation workflows, segmentation, personalization, and campaign orchestration.
- Perform system health checks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize platform performance.
Integration & Data Architecture
- Integrate SFMC with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud and third-party systems using APIs, data connectors, and middleware.
- Architect and implement Salesforce Data Cloud solutions, including data streams, data models, identity resolution, and calculated insights.
- Define Customer 360 architectures and govern data ingestion, unification, segmentation, and activation strategies.
- Ensure data synchronization, consent management, event orchestration, and real-time data activation.
- Design integrations between SFMC and enterprise systems using APIs, connectors, middleware, and ETL tools.
Consulting & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with functional consultants to define CRM strategies, marketing automation workflows, and data-driven campaign enablement.
- Work closely with global teams to ensure consistent delivery quality, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to thought leadership, internal capability building, and mentoring of junior consultants.
Required Skills & Experience
Domain Expertise
- Strong experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation and configuration.
- Proficiency in Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and campaign orchestration.
- Technical expertise in AMPscript, SQL, data modeling, API integration, and deployment management.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale SFMC solutions.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including:
- Data ingestion and harmonization
- Identity resolution
- Activation into SFMC
- Data modeling and unification
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein features, and CRM Analytics (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, governance, and enterprise best practices.
Functional & Consulting Skills
- Proven ability to gather business requirements, map customer journeys, and design marketing automation processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience translating marketing strategies into Salesforce-enabled solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to multi-cloud implementations and marketing automation strategy design.
Technology Awareness
- Experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Data Cloud and external ecosystems.
- Understanding of data privacy, consent management, and governance principles.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Miro, Jira, Confluence, MS PowerPoint, and Excel.
