Directors of Software Engineering (AWS) play a pivotal role in driving cloud-based innovation and technological leadership within an organization. What You'll Do:
- Define and implement AWS cloud strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and manage multiple software engineering teams focused on AWS solutions.
- Oversee architecture design and deployment of secure, scalable AWS environments.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and stakeholders for successful releases.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud security, DevOps, and automation.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and project prioritization for cloud initiatives.
- Mentor and develop team members, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- Shape the company's AWS technical strategy and innovation roadmap.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and influence business decisions.
- Oversee engineering performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Drive adoption of emerging AWS technologies and optimize cost efficiency.
- Develop and refine cloud engineering processes for better efficiency.
- Lead recruitment efforts for high-performing AWS engineering teams.
- Set clear goals and metrics for cloud projects and DevOps pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Strong experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale software engineering teams.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred
