We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Solutions Architect to support our Global System Integrator (GSI) business. This is a customer- and partner-facing pre-sales role for someone who understands the value of technology-led business transformation and thrives in sell‐to, sell‐with, and co‐sell motions.
You will play a critical role in helping GSI partners and customers accelerate outcomes using simple, powerful, and secure SolarWinds solutions, acting as a trusted technical advisor from discovery through deployment.

What You'll Do


Pre‐Sales & Technical Leadership

  • Serve as a key technical member of the GSI Sales team, providing pre‐sales support for the SolarWinds product portfolio.
  • Conduct online and on‐site product demonstrations, technical workshops, and webinars for customers and partners.
  • Answer in‐depth technical questions from prospects, customers, and channel partners.

Customer Discovery & Solution Design

  • Lead discovery sessions to understand customer business objectives, technical requirements, and pain points.
  • Analyze customer environments (on‐prem, hybrid, cloud) and design solutions that improve visibility, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Recommend architectural changes, upgrades, and best‐practice designs aligned to customer goals, scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of SolarWinds solutions in the context of customer needs.

Sales & Partner Enablement

  • Advise Inside Sales, Field Sales, and GSI partners on solution positioning and technical strategy.
  • Support opportunity qualification, scoping, and progression through the sales funnel.
  • Deliver partner enablement, training sessions, and technical briefings to build partner confidence and capability.

Execution & Feedback Loop

  • Assist with pre‐sales technical tasks, including solution configuration, proof‐of‐concept support, and troubleshooting.
  • Be on‐site with key customers and partners as needed for enablement, workshops, or deployments.
  • Communicate customer feedback, feature requests, and product issues back to Product Management and Engineering teams.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance during and after deployment to ensure successful adoption.

Thought Leadership & Continuous Learning

  • Maintain deep and current technical expertise across SolarWinds products and adjacent technologies.
  • Present at partner events, trade shows, and regional forums.
  • Share knowledge internally and mentor other team members when needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a pre‐sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role.
  • Strong hands‐on knowledge of:
  • IT infrastructure, networking, security, and applications
  • Hybrid and cloud environments
  • Experience with SolarWinds or similar Full‐Stack Observability / ITOM platforms.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‐technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation, problem‐solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with cloud and container platforms such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes.
  • Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% as required.
