Solutions Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Windchill Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise PLM solutions using PTC Windchill. The Solution Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, IT leadership, and implementation partners to define scalable PLM architectures, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Define end-to-end PLM solution architecture using Windchill.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and document architecture for product data management, change management, configuration management, and collaboration processes.
• Establish PLM governance, standards, and best practices.
• Create high-level and detailed solution design documents.

Windchill Implementation & Customization

• Lead Windchill implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
• Design solutions leveraging:
• Part Management
• Document Management
• Change & Configuration Management
• ProjectLink
• MPMLink
• Quality Solutions
• Supplier Collaboration
• Evaluate and guide customizations versus out-of-the-box functionality.
• Ensure maintainable and upgrade-friendly solution designs.

Integration Architecture

• Architect integrations between Windchill and enterprise applications such as:
• SAP / Oracle ERP
• MES Systems
• CAD Applications (Creo, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks)
• CRM and other enterprise platforms
• Design integration frameworks using APIs, REST services, middleware, and messaging technologies.
• Ensure data consistency and synchronization across systems.

Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance to development and implementation teams.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
• Resolve complex technical challenges related to Windchill architecture and performance.
• Mentor developers, administrators, and functional consultants.

Performance & Scalability

• Design high-availability and scalable Windchill environments.
• Optimize system performance, database utilization, and application configurations.
• Define disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with business leaders, engineering teams, and IT stakeholders.
• Lead workshops, solution discussions, and architecture review sessions.
• Present solution recommendations, risks, and roadmaps to senior management.
