We provide Global Payment Solutions with direction on technology strategy and solution design to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. Our team manages architecture-related risks while driving adherence to established standards, principles, and technology blueprints.
We have an exciting Solutions Architect opportunity supporting the following domains:
- Corporate Payments
- Accounting Services
- Liquidity Management
- Receivables
- Trade & Supply Chain Finance
- Commercial Card
The team operates across US, EMEA, and APAC, offering exposure to a diverse and challenging portfolio of work.
Responsibilities
- Define architectural vision and solution architecture aligned with business strategy and enterprise technology choices.
- Describe solution intent, operating environments, system/subsystem interactions, and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure solutions are fit for purpose by collaborating with stakeholders and vendors, and evaluating impacts of strategic decisions.
- Work with business and technology teams to create architectural vision and solution intent.
- Lead rapid shaping of high-level architecture and ensure modular, flexible design for evolving requirements.
- Apply defined best practices, templates, and documentation to produce high‑quality architectural designs.
- Work with Product Manager/Owner to prioritize technology backlog items for the architecture runway.
- Provide architectural clarification to development teams and propose solution options to remove impediments.
- Conduct design reviews to ensure non-functional requirements (security, performance, scalability, maintainability, usability, reliability) are met.
- Operate as an independent individual contributor.
Required Skills
- Strong domain knowledge of Corporate Payments (mandatory), plus Accounting Services, Liquidity Management, Receivables, Trade & Supply Chain Finance, and Commercial Card.
- Proficiency in API design, microservices, and integration platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience driving shared services strategy and performance-oriented culture.
- Ability to apply best practices for continuous improvement across products, tools, and processes.
- Self‑driven, highly motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC: Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent business partner coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead automation initiatives, root cause analysis, and development of shared solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving, and innovation.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into multiple architectural views for different audiences.
- Broad IT knowledge: financial software, middleware, databases.
- Ability to interpret business needs and propose innovative technology solutions.
- 8+ years experience in Banking/Financial Services technology.
Nice to Have
- Deep understanding of the APAC financial services landscape and systems.
- Advanced knowledge in one or more software/application/architecture disciplines.
- Strong understanding of payment systems and regulatory environments in APAC.
- Experience designing solutions on modern cloud platforms, with knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps, platform engineering, DevOps, CI/CD.
- Good understanding of security, privacy, model risk, and regulatory considerations in AI systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- TOGAF 9 Certification.
- Cloud Solutions Architect Certification (AWS, Azure, GCP).
