What You'll Do
- Architect resilient, scalable, and secure AWS and GCP infrastructures for DotKonnekt's platform and client deployments.
- Design and implement serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions) that optimise efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
- Orchestrate containerised workloads with Kubernetes (EKS / GKE), including deployment strategies, autoscaling, and cluster management.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform — IaC is the default, not the exception.
- Design robust networking solutions: VPCs, subnets, security groups, private endpoints, WAF, and zero-trust access patterns.
- Architect data pipelines and storage solutions that support AI workloads: vector databases, object storage, streaming infrastructure.
- Integrate AI services (AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, third-party LLM APIs) into platform architecture, ensuring low latency and high availability.
- Establish observability standards: logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and cost monitoring across all environments.
- Work with engineering and product teams as the technical bridge between business requirements and infrastructure capability.
- Contribute to security posture, compliance readiness, and disaster recovery planning.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have
- 2–5 years of cloud architecture experience with demonstrable ownership of production AWS or GCP environments at meaningful scale.
- Deep AWS expertise: compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS), networking (VPC, Route 53, CloudFront), storage (S3, RDS, DynamoDB), and IAM.
- Terraform proficiency — you write modules, manage state, and enforce standards, not just apply someone else's templates.
- Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes — deployments, Helm charts, service meshes, and cluster operations.
- Experience designing serverless architectures that go beyond hello-world — event-driven, cost-optimised, observable.
- Strong networking fundamentals: routing, DNS, load balancing, firewall rules, and private connectivity patterns.
- Understanding of security best practices: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, encryption at rest and in transit.
- Ability to translate business and product requirements into infrastructure designs and communicate trade-offs clearly.
Strong Advantage
- GCP expertise alongside AWS — multi-cloud architectures, Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery.
- Experience integrating AI/ML services into platform infrastructure, including GPU workloads, model serving, and vector stores.
- Familiarity with FinOps practices — cost attribution, reserved capacity planning, and waste reduction.
- MLOps or LLMOps exposure: CI/CD for model deployments, experiment tracking, and inference infrastructure.
- Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) or advanced networking patterns.
