Lead a team and direct the architectural design and strategic technology decisions, ensuring they align with business objectives while fostering innovation within the organization.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Activities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and leadership in architecting scalable, resilient, and future-proof digital solutions for the Air India's diverse software ecosystem.
- Technology Innovation: Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software architecture and engineering. Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI) that enhance the Air India's digital capabilities and competitive advantage.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers to ensure alignment of architectural decisions with business objectives and technical requirements across web, mobile, and emerging platforms.
- Architectural Design and Governance: Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across the Air India's software portfolio. Implement governance processes to review and approve architectural changes and ensure adherence to established standards.
Team Management
- Lead a team of architects and guide them to ensure their efforts align with overarching objectives.
- Act as a mentor to junior architects and development teams and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and technical trainings to foster continuous learning and skill development within the team.
- Establish a clear direction for team, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork, providing leadership to nurture team members professional growth.
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- 15-20 years of experience in enterprise architecture roles, with a proven track record of success in driving digital transformation initiatives.
- Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF, with experience in adapting frameworks to suit organizational needs.
- Certification in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is desirable.
