Solution Designer,VP

• Join us as a Solution Designer Take on a varied role in our Digital X Analytics team, where you ll own the end-to-end high-level business design for a project, programme or initiative

What you'll do As a Solution Designer, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for design-related aspects, ensuring alignment with strategic principles through governance forums. You'll be working closely with enterprise architects to maintain adherence to established standards and principles.

We'll look to you to synthesise requirements into comprehensive end-to-end designs by collaborating with data architects within stakeholder teams.

Additionally, you'll be:

• Translating requirements into a set of transition state designs and a practical roadmap
• Developing cost-effective designs that align with corresponding business or IT architecture
• Documenting design details in line with standard methods
• Ensuring the solution design aligns with the portfolio or enterprise architecture target state, while engaging colleagues across analytics activities in the design process
• Architecting and designing scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions for AWS and on-premises environments
• Applying design patterns and architectural best practices in cloud, data, and AI solutions

The skills you'll need to make an impact with us; you'll need a solid background in solution design and experience of utilising industry standard models and tools. Alongside excellent communication skills, you'll also need the ability to lead and collaborate with both internal and external teams, and to clearly convey complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

You'll bring proficient knowledge of serverless computing, microservices including Lambda, SQS and SNS, Event Bridge and API Gateway, containerization such as Docker, orchestration such as EKS and Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures like Kafka. Ideally, you'll also have experience with generative AI solutions, GitOps, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Route53, Agile and Scrum, and RAG architecture.

We'll also want to see:

• Knowledge of both the Data & Analytics and stakeholder technical domains with an understanding of key elements to ensure alignment to strategic roadmaps
• A comprehensive understanding of the financial services environment and regulatory frameworks
• Expertise in external influences and advancements that impact design
• A solid grounding in security architectures, including IAM, Ping Identity suite such as PingFederate and Ping Access, mTLS, RBAC, and ABAC
• Proven experience with cloud-native monitoring and observability practices including AWS CloudWatch, Grafana and Splunk
• A strong understanding of network and API security standards including OAuth2, JWT and SAML
