Job Description
The Component Designer will be responsible for the end to end design and development of mechanical and or electrical components ensuring alignment with project specifications functional requirements and manufacturability standards This role requires a high level of technical proficiency attention to detail and collaboration with cross functional teams to deliver innovative and cost effective design solutions
Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine component designs from concept to production ensuring compliance with performance safety and quality standards
Create detailed 2D and 3D design models using industry standard CAD software e g SolidWorks CATIA NX or Creo
Conduct component level analyses including structural thermal or electrical validation to ensure reliability and durability
Collaborate with manufacturing quality and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility cost efficiency and ease of production
Support prototype fabrication testing and validation activities implement design improvements based on test outcomes
Maintain accurate and up to date design documentation drawings and change records in accordance with company standards and PLM systems
Participate in design reviews contributing technical insights and ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives
Ensure all designs meet applicable regulatory industry and company standards
Technical Skills
Proficiency in CAD tools SolidWorks CATIA NX Creo or equivalent
Strong understanding of materials manufacturing processes GD T and tolerance analysis
Experience with DFMEA DFM DFA and other design best practices
Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter Windchill or equivalent
Working knowledge of simulation tools e g ANSYS Abaqus is an advantage
