Solution Architect

Job Overview:
As a Solution Architect at Client, you will lead the technical vision and design of large-scale solutions
built on Dynamics 365 CE/CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure integration services. You will
guide clients through architectural choices, manage technical scope and risks, and ensure solutions
are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned to business objectives.
While your focus will be architecture and governance, you'll remain hands-on where it matters
whether validating patterns, supporting developers on complex integration flows, or building proof-
of-concepts to guide a delivery path.
This role blends leadership, technical depth, consulting skills, and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities:
Solution Strategy & Architecture
- Define target-state architectures across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, and
Azure services.
- Translate business requirements into logical, physical, and integration architectures.
- Produce clear decision papers, option assessments, TCO/licensing impacts, and pragmatic
adoption roadmaps.
- Shape and advocate for platform reusability, low-code governance, and future extension.
Delivery & Governance
- Own technical scope, architectural controls, assumptions, and change control.
- Establish and oversee non-functional requirements (performance, reliability, accessibility,
DR, SLAs).
- Lead architecture reviews, technical design authority (TDA), and code quality practices.
- Support programme planning: sizing, resource planning, dependency management, release
strategy.
Client & Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead business, product, and technical workshops with senior stakeholders and end-users.
- Act as primary technical counterpart to client architects, CTOs, and programme teams.
- Communicate risks and trade-offs clearly to support decision-making.
Integration, Security & Data
- Define integration patterns using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management,
Dataverse virtual tables, and webhooks.
- Approve and uphold security models: AAD, RBAC, OAuth, Conditional Access, data
governance controls, DLP.
ALM & Operational Excellence
- Design environment topology, deployment strategy, DLP policies, Dataverse solution
layering, branch strategy.
- Enforce CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / Git repos.
- Oversee transition to support, runbooks, operational SLAs, and evergreen platform upgrades.
Leadership & Coaching
- Mentor senior consultants and developers; elevate solution quality and consistency.
- Feed lessons learned into reference architectures, reusable accelerators, and delivery
frameworks.
- Contribute to bids, proposals, demonstrations, proof-of-concept builds, and capability
development.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
Required:
- 10+ years in consulting or enterprise solution delivery with demonstrable architecture
ownership.
- Deep experience with Dynamics 365 CE / Power Platform / Dataverse solution design.
- Strong understanding of Azure integration services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus,
EventGrid, API-M).
- Strong understanding of C#/.NET, JavaScript, Dataverse plugin patterns, APIs, and event-
driven architectures.
- Solid grounding in solution governance: security models, DLP, solution layering, environment
design, CI/CD.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder communication skills, including exec-level presentations.
Advantageous:
- Copilot Studio, AI Builder, responsible AI adoption frameworks.
- Power Pages architecture and governance.
- Experience in regulated or public-sector delivery.
- Experience leading multi-workstream or multi-vendor programmes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric / Synapse / Data Lakehouse data architectures.

90 Days
You're owning the architecture of an active delivery, have built trust with the client and Client team,
and have shaped a clear architectural direction.
6 Months
You've led a project through major delivery milestones and contributed improvements back into
templates, patterns, or delivery playbooks.
12 Months
You're recognised internally as a go-to strategic architect, shaping standards, reference
architectures, and guidance for next-generation platform/AI solutions.
