Solution Architect Procurement Transformation

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

• The Solution Architect, working closely with the Procurement Transformation team, will drive the technology design of our multi-year procurement transformation programme.
• This role will report to the Head of Architecture Enterprise Technology and be instrumental in shaping the global procurement application ecosystem, ensuring that Coupa and connected platforms and technologies work together seamlessly to deliver a unified, scalable, and future-ready solution.
• The Solution Architect will design and oversee integrations across supplier and finance systems, ensuring seamless data flows and process alignment, while embedding opportunities for optimization through automation and AI in line with the organizations wider AI Automation strategy.
• Acting as a technical leader for procurement technology, the role will coordinate cross-functional teams across procurement, product, finance, IT, and MA, ensuring transformation outcomes are delivered while supporting ongoing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Solution Leadership Strategy: Provide technical leadership for the procurement transformation programme, driving and contributing to the architecture and solution design of the target application ecosystem. Support the development and maintenance of the solution roadmap and delivery approach to ensure a unified, scalable, and future-ready platform. For this role, the focus is on procurement technologies, with Coupa at the core.
• Integration Data Management:Oversee the design and delivery of integrations across core enterprise procurement and finance platforms. Collaborate with the global platform and data teams on data strategies, models, and migration activities, ensuring accuracy, quality, and seamless information exchange across procurement, supplier, and finance ecosystems, with consideration for automation opportunities that reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Governance, Security Compliance:Support the definition and application of solution standards covering architecture patterns, integration approaches, and data governance. Drive and contribute to embedding security and compliance requirements into solution design, including regulatory controls (e.g. SOX), access management, auditability, and enterprise compliance standards.
• Operations Continuous Improvement:Drive and contribute to both transformation and BAU operations of procurement solutions, helping to ensure performance, scalability, and stability. Champion continuous improvement by incorporating feedback, monitoring solution performance, and adapting to evolving business needs. Input into the long-term technology roadmap in alignment with enterprise technology and procurement strategy.
• Leadership Collaboration:Partner with business, IT, and transformation teams to align technical delivery with organisational goals. Mentor and upskill delivery teams across our global technology hubs, providing guidance and knowledge transfer to ensure consistent, high-quality implementation and support. Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for technical challenges, promoting collaboration and innovation across teams.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION

• Experience in solution architecture within complex, multi-entity or global environments.
• Hands-on experience with Coupa design, configuration, and delivery, including integration with finance and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and technologies (e.g. source-to-contract, procure-to-pay, supplier management, spend analytics).
• Technical expertise in system integration, data migration, APIs, middleware, and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory controls (e.g. SOX) in system design and delivery.
• Exposure to transformation programme's and BAU support of enterprise applications.
• Experience contributing to MA integration, system consolidation, or platform standardization initiatives
• Exposure to automation or AI technologies in procurement or finance contexts is an advantage.
• Experience working in agile and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Desirable certifications: Coupa Solution Architect and familiarity with architecture or integration frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, iPaaS).
