Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in (Andheri) Mumbai. We are seeking a Solution Architect who will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions for lending products within a fintech environment. The role involves working closely with product, engineering, data, and business teams to conceptualise, architect, and deliver robust systems aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate needs to have extensive & strong experience in Banking tech, core banking systems, treasury, CRM, payments, and digital transformation.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Solution & Technical Architecture
- Design end-to-end solution architecture for financial platform covering loans, payments and customer accounts.
- Develop high-level and low-level architectural designs ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
- Define API, microservices architecture, data flows, integration patterns, and system interactions.
- Create architecture roadmaps aligned with product and business strategy.
2. Domain Expertise Lending
- Translate complex lending workflows and policies into technical solutions.
- Architect solutions for credit underwriting, risk engines, KYC/AML, verification, disbursement, collections, and loan lifecycle management.
- Build understanding of loan pricing models, repayment structures, and regulatory requirements within the BFSI domain.
3. Cloud Architecture
- Design and deploy cloud-native architectures in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Recommend cloud services, cost-efficient architectures, and scalable deployment models.
- Ensure robust security, IAM management, VPC design, containerization, and DevOps alignment.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
4. Technology Guidance
- Guide engineering teams on architectural best practices, coding standards, and design principles.
- Conduct design reviews, evaluate technical feasibility, and provide architectural sign-off.
- Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to lending domain enhancement.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the bridge between business, product, engineering, compliance, and external partners.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution blueprints.
- Present architectural solutions to leadership, ensuring clarity on trade-offs and risks.
6. Security, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure architectural compliance with RBI, GDPR, data protection norms, SOC2, ISO 27001 and other regulatory standards. Ensure the platform is compliant with banking regulation.
- Oversee secure design practices including data encryption, API security, and cloud security controls.
- Implement architectural governance frameworks and maintain documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, or related fields.
- 610 years of experience in solution architecture, system design, or technical leadership.
- Should have 2 to 3 years of experience in BFSI or core banking.
- Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering and AML/CTF(Counter Terrorism Framework). Real-time transaction monitoring.
- Skill set in building financial digital platform, ensuring scalability and compliance with financial regulations.
- Strong experience in the lending / BFSI / fintech domain.
- Hands-on architectural experience in cloud environments, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Proficiency in microservices, API architecture, event-driven systems,and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of databases (Oracle), caching, messaging queues, and data modelling.
- TOGAF Certification - Mandatory.
- Experience working with engineering teams in Agile environments.
Desired Skills:
Experience with rules engines, risk engines, and underwriting platforms.
Should have experience in Design thinking.
Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
Exposure to security frameworks, IAM, and cloud governance.
Experience with third-party integrations (KYC, bureau APIs, payment gateways, collections platforms).
Ability to manage ambiguity and make architecture decisions balancing tech + business needs.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
