Solution Architect .NET, Secure Cloud & Enterprise Integration

Join the dedicated team delivering a bespoke, cloud-based Nuclear Material Accounting & Control (NMAC) platform for a major civil-nuclear operator — a mission-critical system, built on Microsoft .NET, that tracks nuclear material and produces statutory reports to the national nuclear regulator and the IAEA. You will own the end-to-end solution architecture — application, integration, deployment and security — for a .NET system held to nuclear-sector security and data-integrity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Define the overall .NET solution, integration and deployment architecture (on-prem baseline; Azure SaaS/IaaS option).

•    Design secure, scalable .NET services and the data and integration approach (SAP ERP, Active Directory/Entra ID, SMTP, reporting tools).

•    Embed security by design: zero-trust, encryption, MFA, network segmentation, and compliance with national IA and cryptography standards (including post-quantum requirements).

•    Produce the technical specification and guide the development team on standards and patterns.

•    Govern technical quality through build, test and deployment.

Qualifications:

•    8+ years in software engineering with strong solution-architecture experience for enterprise web applications.

•    Depth in the Microsoft/Azure stack (C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, App Service, Entra ID, Key Vault), security architecture and enterprise integration (APIs, SAP).

•    Experience designing systems to strict security and compliance standards.

•    Ability to balance regulatory, security and delivery constraints into a coherent design.

Nice to have

•    Nuclear or regulated-sector architecture experience.

•    Knowledge of national IA standards, ISO/IEC 27001 and modern cryptography/PQC.

•    TOGAF or similar.
