About the role

We are an early-stage team building an AI-powered product with real-time, AI-driven features at its core.

We are looking for a Solution Architect to own the technical architecture of the platform end to end: how it is built, why it is built that way, and how it scales as we grow. This is a hands-on role on a small team. You will design the system and also write code, make the core technology decisions, and be expected to justify them.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the platform and document the reasoning behind every major decision.
• Choose the technology stack across compute, data, real-time transport, and AI providers, and justify the trade-offs.
• Design a production-viable Phase 1 and a clear path to scale as the customer base grows, without rewrites.
• Architect the real-time, low-latency voice interview, including graceful behaviour on poor networks and provider failures.
• Design how AI outputs become consistent, explainable, and auditable assessments, with every score traceable to evidence.
• Design multi-tenant data isolation for institutions, and handle data privacy and India residency.
• Make per-ai task and per-tenant cost measurable and controllable.
• Build, not just diagram. Prototype, set the patterns, and write production code alongside the team.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience designing and shipping production cloud architectures (Azure preferred).
• Strong backend engineering, ideally Python and FastAPI, with solid data modelling (Postgres; vector stores a plus).
• Experience with real-time or low-latency systems (streaming, WebSockets; voice or media a plus).
• Hands-on experience building on LLM or foundation-model APIs and wrapping them in reliable, deterministic logic.
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS, with sound security and data-handling instincts.
• A track record of cost-aware, scalable design with strong observability practices.
• Clear thinking on trade-offs, and the ability to explain and defend decisions in writing and in person.
• Comfort with ambiguity and broad ownership in an early-stage environment.

Nice to have

• pgvector and RAG, OpenAI Realtime API, Next.js, Azure Container Apps, Cosmos DB.
• Infrastructure as code (Bicep or Terraform) and CI/CD.
• Prior startup or zero-to-one experience; interest in ed-tech or HR-tech.

How we hire

• A short practical assessment, not a quiz. You will design an architecture for a problem close to what we work on, with full reasoning, followed by a small coding problem and a walkthrough where we discuss your decisions. We care more about how you reason and justify choices than about perfect answers.
