JOB DESCRIPTION

Solution Architect / Implementation Lead

Oracle HCM Cloud — Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC)

Function: HCM Cloud Delivery / Consulting

Level: Senior (8–12+ years)

Employment type: Full-time

Reports to: Delivery Director / HCM Practice Lead

Location: Kochi, Travel to client sites as required

About the Role

We are a systems integrator building and scaling our Oracle HCM Cloud practice. We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Implementation Lead to own the end-to-end design and delivery of Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) for our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will translate client recruiting and talent-acquisition needs into a well-architected Oracle solution, lead the functional and technical workstreams through each phase of the implementation, and act as the trusted advisor to client stakeholders from sales through hypercare.

You will be the single point of accountability for the ORC solution — shaping the design, guiding the configuration, de-risking integrations, and ensuring the delivered system meets business objectives, adoption targets, and quality standards. You will also mentor consultants on the team and help mature our delivery methodology, accelerators, and reusable assets.

Key Responsibilities

Solution architecture & design

  • Lead requirements-gathering and design workshops with client HR, talent acquisition, and IT stakeholders; translate business processes into a scalable ORC solution design.
  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture across ORC — requisitions, candidate selection process (CSP), job offers, candidate experience / career sites (Oracle Recruiting Booster where in scope), interview scheduling, agencies, and recruiting campaigns — and its fit within the broader Oracle Fusion HCM suite (Core HR, Talent, Onboarding).
  • Produce and own key deliverables: solution design documents, configuration workbooks, process flows, integration specifications, security design, and the RAID log.
  • Make and defend build-vs-configure decisions; ensure the design stays within Oracle leading practices and minimizes technical debt and customization.

Delivery leadership

  • Lead the ORC workstream across all phases — discovery, design, configuration, data migration, integration, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
  • Plan and manage the workstream scope, timeline, effort estimates, and dependencies in partnership with the project/program manager.
  • Manage Oracle quarterly release cycles — assess new features, plan regression testing, and advise clients on release adoption.
  • Serve as the escalation point for functional and technical issues; drive root-cause analysis and resolution.

Configuration, data & integration

  • Guide and validate hands-on configuration of ORC, including job requisition templates, CSP phases and states, offer letters, notifications, and career site setup.
  • Direct data migration using HDL / HSDL and spreadsheet loaders; define data-quality and reconciliation approach.
  • Design and oversee integrations — SSO, background-check and assessment vendors, job boards / job broadcasting, onboarding, and payroll — using HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, REST/SOAP web services, and OIC where applicable.
  • Own security design: role mapping, data security, and area-of-responsibility configuration aligned to client governance.
  • Build reporting with OTBI / BI Publisher to meet recruiting analytics and compliance needs.

Client advisory & team leadership

  • Act as the trusted advisor to client sponsors and process owners; manage expectations and drive adoption and change readiness.
  • Support pre-sales and practice growth — solutioning, effort estimation, proposals, and client demos.
  • Mentor and provide quality oversight to functional and technical consultants; contribute to accelerators, templates, and delivery playbooks.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years in Oracle HCM Cloud consulting/implementation, with hands-on Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) expertise and demonstrable depth across the full recruiting lifecycle.
  • At least 3–4 full-cycle ORC implementations, with experience leading the ORC workstream on multiple engagements.
  • Strong command of ORC configuration — requisitions, candidate selection process, job offers, candidate experience / career sites, interview scheduling, and notifications.
  • Solid working knowledge of the wider Oracle Fusion HCM suite (Core HR, Talent Management, Onboarding) and how ORC integrates with it.
  • Practical experience with HDL/HSDL data loads, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher / OTBI, Fast Formulas, and security/role configuration.
  • Experience designing and delivering integrations (REST/SOAP, OIC/ICS, third-party recruiting vendors such as background-check, assessment, and job-board providers).
  • Proven ability to lead workshops, own solution design end-to-end, and manage a workstream through go-live and hypercare.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HR, Business, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Oracle Recruiting Cloud certification and/or other Oracle HCM Cloud implementation specializations.
  • Experience with Oracle Recruiting Booster, CX for Recruiting, and advanced candidate-experience configuration.
  • Prior experience in a systems-integrator / consulting delivery model with pre-sales and estimation exposure.
  • Exposure to global / multi-country recruiting implementations and localization/compliance requirements (e.g., OFCCP, GDPR).
  • Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies and Oracle's implementation methodology (OUM / True Cloud Method).
  • Experience mentoring teams and building reusable delivery accelerators.
