Solution Architect Energy

We at Royal Cyber are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to support the Energy Management domain, responsible for designing and governing scalable, secure, and

integrated technology solutions that enable efficient, sustainable, and intelligent energy

systems.

The role focuses on translating business and operational requirements into end-to-end

architectures across renewable energy generation, energy distribution, grid management,

and consumption optimization. The Solution Architect will ensure alignment with

enterprise standards while driving digital transformation initiatives and enabling data-

driven decision-making across the client's energy ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Integration

• Develop end-to-end architecture blueprints for smart grids, EMS, and renewables.
• Bridge IT/OT environments using API-led, event-driven, and real-time streaming data patterns.

Cloud & Advanced Technologies

• Design cloud-native/hybrid solutions (OCI, Azure, AWS) featuring edge computing.
• Enable AI/ML, digital twins, and predictive maintenance for grid modeling.

Security & Collaboration

• Enforce cybersecurity standards, data privacy, and secure IT/OT communication protocols.
• Align technical designs with business goals alongside engineering and vendor stakeholders.

Technical Skills

• API design and management (REST, OpenAPI, API gateways)

• Event-driven architecture and event streaming design (Kafka, MQTT, cloud-native

services)

• Cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, AWS) and cloud-native architecture patterns

• Integration technologies and middleware platforms

• Knowledge of energy sector systems (EMS, SCADA, DER integration)

• Networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, secure connectivity)

• Security architecture and best practices for critical infrastructure

• Modeling tools and frameworks (ArchiMate, UML, etc.)

Qualification & Required Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or enterprise architecture roles

• Strong experience designing large-scale energy, utilities, or infrastructure solutions

• Solid understanding of:

o Energy systems and smart grid technologies

o Integration across IT and OT environments

• Proven experience with:

o API-led architectures and event-driven systems

o Real-time data streaming and telemetry platforms

• Strong background in:

o Cloud architecture (OCI, Azure, AWS)

o Distributed systems and microservices design

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or IT

• Relevant certifications preferred:

o TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification

o Experience in energy, utilities, or smart city initiatives is highly desirable

• Familiarity with:

o Renewable energy systems

o Smart grid technologies

o Sustainability and energy optimization strategies
