About the role
We are hiring a Solution Architect to own the end-to-end technical design of a multi-workstream data and AI programme. You will define the architecture spanning SAP and Oracle source integration, Databricks lakehouse and ML platforms, scoring and optimisation engines, and enterprise BI, and defend it through formal architecture review with enterprise IT, security, and data governance functions.
What you'll do
- Define and document solution architecture across data ingestion, lakehouse, ML serving, engines, integrations, and dashboards for multiple concurrent use cases
- Design read-only integration patterns for SAP (PM, MM, S/4HANA) and Oracle sources within strict enterprise security and data residency constraints
- Align the design with enterprise architecture guidelines, CI/CD standards, and data governance frameworks through formal review gates before build
- Make and document the key technology decisions: pipeline patterns, model serving approach, environment strategy (dev/staging/prod), RBAC and audit logging design
- Guide engineering leads through build; arbitrate technical trade-offs; own the technical documentation package including architecture and data flow diagrams
- Support estimation, proposal development, and technical governance forums
What you'll need
- 8+ years in data/solution architecture, including enterprise-scale Databricks lakehouse designs in production
- Deep experience with SAP landscape integration and cloud data platform patterns
- Strong security architecture awareness: least-privilege access, audit logging, data classification, OWASP-aligned application security
- Track record steering designs through enterprise architecture and security review boards
- Excellent architecture communication: diagrams, decision records, and stakeholder presentations
Nice to have
- Databricks certification (Architect-level credentials valued; certification support provided)
- Experience in regulated or asset-intensive industries with heightened data sensitivity
- Familiarity with enterprise analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau) and their governance models
- Prior delivery experience in the GCC region
