About the role:
As a Solution Architect, you'lllead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions for a leading global payments organization and Fortune 500 financial services enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business needs into robust architectural designs.
This role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, customer stakeholders, and leadership to ensure successful delivery of complex technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise applications and platforms
- Work closely with customers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Ability to analyze requirements from JIRA Epics and Features to identify architectural considerations, design opportunities, and potential solution gaps
- System Design and System Integration knowledge
- Design and present High Level Designs (HLD) in architecture and solution review forums (e.g., SDRs)
- Actively participate in regular architectural reviews while proactively identifying new opportunities where solution architecture can add value, and engage early in emerging initiatives to contribute to design discussions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to guide creation of Low Level Designs (LLD) and implementation approach
- Ensure architectural alignment with scalability, security, performance, and maintainability goals
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and architecture teams
- Engage with senior customer stakeholders including Engineering Directors, Architecture leaders, Product leadership and QA leadership
- Identify risks, dependencies, and architectural trade-offs early in the lifecycle
- Strong understanding of Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning) with the ability to apply AI across SDLC/STLC to drive business value, lead AI hackathons and prototype development, and design integrated enterprise solutions; Copilot Studio experience preferred
Requirements:
- 16+ years of overall IT experience
- 67+ years in Solution Architect / Technical Architect roles
- Proven experience in designing enterprise-grade distributed systems
- Strong customer-facing experience in consulting, delivery, or product environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive technical decisions
- Strong understanding of Java-based enterprise ecosystems
- Experience with Spring Boot and modern backend frameworks, Java Spring Security, Authentication and Authorization mechanisms
- Familiarity with full-stack architecture and integration patterns
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, APIs, and containerization design principles
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and modern deployment practices is desirable
- Strong expertise in database design and optimization with hands-on experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
- Good understanding of Messaging frameworks like Kafka
Desirable:
- Experience in BFSI, Payments and Cards domain (advantage)
- Experience working in global delivery models
- Architecture certifications or equivalent exp
