Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on SolidWorks Design Engineer who can work closely with the mechanical, electronics, and production teams to design and develop innovative sports-tech products.
The role involves product design, sheet metal structures, machine assemblies, production drawings, and support for manufacturing and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks
Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs
Work on sheet metal, fabricated structures, mounts, machine frames, and moving mechanisms
Coordinate with production and R&D teams for prototype development
Optimize designs for manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability
Support new product development for cricket simulators, bowling machines, and interactive gaming systems
Work on revisions and improvements based on field feedback and testing
Coordinate with vendors for fabrication and component feasibility
Maintain proper design documentation and version control
Required Skills
Strong experience in SolidWorks
Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, machining, and assembly design
Understanding of motors, actuators, bearings, belts, chains, and mechanical motion systems
Ability to create production-ready drawings and tolerances
Good practical understanding of manufacturing processes
Basic knowledge of electronics integration is an added advantage
Ability to independently handle design tasks and prototype iterations
Preferred Experience
2+ years of experience in mechanical/product design
Experience in machine design, automation, robotics, sports equipment, or industrial products preferred
Experience working with startups or fast-paced product companies is a plus
