Solar Sales Executive is responsible for driving the adoption of renewable energy by generating leads, conducting site assessments, and closing contracts with residential, commercial, or industrial clients. They educate customers on solar technology, calculate ROI, and coordinate with technical teams to ensure successful installations.Core ResponsibilitiesLead Generation: Actively prospect for new clients through field visits, networking, cold calling, and channel partners.Site Assessments: Conduct on-site evaluations to determine energy usage, roof dimensions, shading, and overall system feasibility.Proposal & Pricing: Develop customized solar system designs, calculate accurate cost-benefit analyses, and present ROI proposals to clients.Customer Education: Guide customers through solar technology, government subsidies, net-metering policies, and financing options.Deal Closure: Negotiate pricing, draft sales contracts, and meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas.Project Coordination: Serve as the liaison between the client and the installation/engineering teams to ensure seamless project delivery.Relationship Management: Maintain post-sales relationships, address client inquiries, and generate referrals.Key Requirements & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (relevant experience is often prioritized over formal degrees).Experience: Typically 1 to 4+ years of sales experience, preferably in renewable energy, solar EPC, telecom, or insurance.Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and electrical concepts.Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical jargon into simple, persuasive terms for the consumer.Field Readiness: Comfortable with extensive fieldwork, travel, and holding a valid two-wheeler or driver's license.
