Join Solark and contribute to a greener future. We are looking for an experienced Solar Project O&M Manager to oversee ground-mounted solar plant operations and maintenance, ensure optimal power generation, and lead site execution activities across projects in India.

Job Purpose

The Solar Project O&M Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations, achieving targeted power generation, and maintaining effective coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

The role involves leading site operations, managing resources, ensuring quality and safety compliance, optimising operational costs, and developing team capabilities through training and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and supervise site activities, project execution, maintenance, and quality standards.
• Monitor daily project progress and maintenance activities against approved schedules and operational targets.
• Ensure smooth solar plant operations and achieve desired power generation through effective performance monitoring and optimisation.
• Coordinate regularly with client representatives, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Manage manpower, machinery, materials, consumables, tools, and equipment for efficient site operations.
• Prepare daily progress reports, performance reports, and updates for the Project Management Team and senior management.
• Facilitate the Permit-to-Work (PTW) process to ensure safe and efficient contractor operations.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and vendor teams for periodic maintenance and operational requirements.
• Inspect site activities to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to optimise operating costs and improve resource utilisation.
• Ensure timely submission of original purchase and service invoices to the head office within three working days.
• Maintain site security, cleanliness, and overall operational discipline.
• Lead, mentor, and train site personnel to improve technical capabilities and operational performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of ground-mounted solar power plants.
• Proven experience managing solar plant operations, maintenance activities, and power generation performance.
• Experience in site team management, contractor coordination, resource planning, and client relationship management.

• Knowledge of Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures and site compliance.

• Good English communication and drafting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage site-level challenges.

Key Stakeholders

Internal: AGM, Project Management Team, Design/Engineering Team, and Procurement Team.

External: Client Representatives, Consultants, Contractors, Labour Teams, and Local Vendors.

Work Location

PAN India. Candidates should be willing to work at project sites across India as required.
