Solar Project Engineer

About the role

Rezeca Renewables is a Singapore-based solar developer with over 1,500 PV systems delivered since 2009 and a growing commercial and industrial (C&I) portfolio. We are looking for a Project Engineer to take ownership of C&I solar PV project execution - driving each project from design through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover to operations. This is a hands-on technical role: you will produce the project drawings yourself and act as the central coordination point between installation subcontractors, suppliers, clients and authorities.

Key responsibilities

. Manage end-to-end execution of assigned C&I solar PV projects, taking accountability for scope, programme, cost and quality from kick-off to commissioning and O&M handover.

. Prepare project engineering drawings in-house - single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel layouts, mounting and structural layouts

. Carry out system sizing and design checks (string configuration, cable sizing, protection coordination) and produce supporting calculations and bills of materials.

. Supervise and manage installation subcontractors and site teams, including programme tracking, workmanship inspection and progress claims verification.

. Prepare and follow up on regulatory and utility submissions - EMA licensing, SP Group connection/turn-on, BCA structural and SCDF requirements as applicable.

. Support procurement by coordinating delivery schedules and managing free-issued material and equipment on site.

. Enforce QA/QC standards and WSH compliance on site, including method statements, risk assessments and permit-to-work where required.

. Carry out / witness testing and commissioning, compile handover documentation, and transition completed systems to the O&M team.

. Track project status, flag risks early, manage variations and scope changes, and produce clear progress reports for internal and client stakeholders.

Requirements

. Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Renewable Energy Engineering (or related discipline).

. 2-4 years of relevant project execution experience in solar PV, EPC, M&E or building services. Strong fresh graduates with relevant internships may be considered at a junior level.

. Proficient in AutoCAD and able to independently produce SLDs and layout drawings - this role prepares its own drawings rather than relying on a drafting team.

. Working knowledge of Singapore codes and frameworks - e.g. SS 638 / CP5, EMA licensing and SP Group connection processes, and WSH requirements.

. Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.

. Comfortable with regular site work and travel to project locations across Singapore.

Good to have

. Experience delivering C&I rooftop or ground-mount PV systems at scale.

. Familiarity with PV design / yield tools (PVsyst) and monitoring platforms.

. Relevant safety certifications (e.g. WSQ, work-at-height, first aid) or BCA-registered qualifications.
