Location: Gurugram, Haryana

Salary: Up to ₹45,000 per month

We are looking for a Solar Design Engineer to design rooftop and ground-mounted solar power projects and support project execution teams with technically optimized solar solutions. The candidate will be responsible for preparing solar layouts, SLDs, BOQs, design calculations, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in solar design, AC/DC systems, AutoCAD, and solar design software such as PVsyst or Helioscope. The role requires strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar power systems.

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation.

• Perform AC and DC design calculations for solar projects.

• Carry out inverter sizing, DC string sizing, and cable sizing calculations.

• Develop solar plant layouts using AutoCAD and related design software.

• Conduct energy generation analysis and system simulations using PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar tools.

• Review site survey reports and assess project feasibility.

• Coordinate with project execution teams to ensure smooth implementation of approved designs.

• Prepare technical submissions, design reports, and project documentation.

• Support clients, project teams, and vendors on design-related matters.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.

• Assist project teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities whenever required.

Must-have Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Solar Design, Solar EPC, or Solar Engineering.

• Experience in AC and DC design for solar projects.

• Experience in preparing SLDs, layout drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation.

• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar solar design software.

• Experience in rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar projects.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Must be located in commutable distance to Gurugram, Haryana, India.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and industrial solar projects.

• Knowledge of net metering and DISCOM approval processes.

• Knowledge of HT/LT systems and electrical distribution systems.

• Experience in inverter sizing, DC string sizing, and cable sizing calculations.

• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
