Key Responsibilities:
- Define technical requirements and develop an optimized subsystem-based analytical and experimental verification plan in collaboration with Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) stakeholders.
- Make decisions related to verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, and durability.
- Investigate and resolve potential system concerns by understanding causal mechanisms, recommending actions, and documenting results.
- Apply and improve verification and validation processes, including:
- Technical requirements analysis
- iDFMEA
- Engineering Standard Work (ESW)
- DVP&R optimization
- Test standards and problem-solving tools (e.g., Integrity)
- Develop manual test procedures (STP) based on System Requirements Specifications (SRS) and MATLAB models.
- Develop automated test procedures (ATP) using NI TestStand and LabVIEW.
- Provide regular and timely updates to the Cummins Manager, including test script reviews and test result evaluations with the Team Lead.
- Collaborate effectively within a project team to ensure successful test execution.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Hardware-In-Loop (HIL): Knowledge of HIL systems such as LUIS and ACCEPTs.
- Product Verification & Validation: Develops and executes design verification and system validation plans, assesses failure modes, and ensures product compliance with customer needs.
- Product Problem Solving: Implements structured problem-solving methods to identify root causes and develop robust, data-driven solutions.
- Analytical Modeling & Test Optimization: Utilizes real-world data to enhance customer duty cycle understanding, compares analytical vs. experimental results, and optimizes test coverage.
- Product Failure Mode Avoidance: Identifies and mitigates potential failure modes to enhance product reliability.
- System Requirements Engineering: Defines and manages system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Product Interface Management & Integration: Manages system interactions, specifies requirements, and develops integration plans to ensure smooth product functionality.
