About the Role

Role** - ETL Testing

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and ETL mapping documents.
• Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Validate data movement from source systems to target data warehouses/data marts.
• Perform data completeness, data quality, transformation, and reconciliation testing.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Verify ETL workflows, mappings, transformations, and business rules.
• Conduct regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Prepare test execution reports and provide status updates to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
• Expertise in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IICS/IDMC, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, or similar.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, star schema, snowflake schema, facts, and dimensions.
• Experience in validating source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.
• Knowledge of defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Exposure to Big Data Testing (Hive, Spark, Hadoop).
• Knowledge of automation tools for ETL testing.
• Experience with BI reporting validation (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos).
