Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer with 23 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through thorough testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.

Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Develop and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.

Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

Execute automated test suites and analyse test results.

Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews in Agile/Scrum environments.

Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

23 years of experience in software testing (manual + automation).

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.

Experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver / Cypress / Playwright.

Basic programming/scripting knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript).

Experience with API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.

Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Experience working in Agile environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Performance testing knowledge (JMeter, LoadRunner).

ISTQB certification.
