Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of software development life cycles. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues
- Execute test cases and report test results with clear documentation
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups (Agile/Scrum)
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or similar
- Validate UI/UX, workflows, and data integrity
- Contribute to automation testing (if applicable)
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
- Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman, REST APIs)
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Mobile application testing experience (iOS/Android)
- Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
