Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with strong experience in manual testing, automation testing, API testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, validating business workflows, supporting UAT and production environments, and collaborating closely with development and operations teams.
This role requires hands-on testing, issue investigation, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Manual & Functional Testing
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing
- Understand business requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases
- Validate end-to-end workflows across web and backend systems
Automation & API Testing
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium / Playwright / Pytest
- Perform API testing using Postman/Rest Assured
- Execute automated test suites and analyze failures
UAT & Production Support
- Support UAT activities with business and client teams
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate fixes with developers
- Handle log analysis, data validation, and issue reproduction
Database & Data Validation
- Write SQL queries to validate backend data
- Perform ETL and data reconciliation testing
- Validate job executions and batch processes
Collaboration & Reporting
- Log and track defects using JIRA / Tracker
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews)
- Prepare daily status reports (DSR), test reports, and defect metrics
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- 1-4 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer / QA Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing
- Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium / Playwright / Pytest)
- API testing experience using Postman / Rest Assured
- Good knowledge of SQL for data validation
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Good-to-Have
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab/GitHub)
- Experience with production support and monitoring tools (ELK, logs)
- Basic understanding of AWS services
- Experience in banking, logistics domains
