About the Role
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for test automation of vSphere VMs virtual devices, ensuring high-quality software delivery through effective testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for test automation of vSphere VMs virtual devices (USB, UEFI, storage, networking, etc.)
- Review test plan and test cases to prepare for test automation
- Perform test automation design and implementation for the test cases/scenarios using sound software engineering methodology
- Increase overall automation rate of testing, implement methods to reduce test time and increase test and stability.
- Work with global teams: QE team, development team, and automation test framework team within Vmware.
Qualifications
- MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or a BS with a strong system software background with 2+ years of experience
Required Skills
- Experience in performing defined automated test strategy, test development design and implementation.
- Experience in testing software using programming languages Java and Python.
- Experience with Workspace One & Horizon
- Ability to organize and work on several tasks at once.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in system software test automation
- Experience in network technologies or storage I/O architecture (filesystems, disk/storage technologies)
- OS internal experience is a plus, e.g. system libraries, file systems, device drivers on Linux (Windows, Mac OS is a plus)
