Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing our AWS cloud environment. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and cost optimization to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of our cloud services.
  • Your Role:
  • Provision, configure, and manage AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and ECS for high availability and performance.
  • Set up monitoring, alerts, and logs usingCloud Watch,AWS X-Ray; respond to incidents and conductroot cause analysis (RCA).
  • UseTerraform,Cloud Formation, orAWS CDKto automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management.
  • UseAWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, Compute Optimizerfor cost control; implementbackup/recoveryusingAWS Backup, S3 Lifecycle.
  • ManageIAM, implementsecurity tools(Guard Duty, Security Hub, WAF), and ensure compliance withHIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.
  • Automate routine operations and administrative tasks usingPython, Bash, orPowerShell.
  • ConfigureVPCs, VPNs, Subnets, Route Tables, and optimize connectivity viaALB, NLB, Direct Connect, andCloud Front.
  • Monitor and control AWS spend usingCost Explorer,Budgets, and optimize resources viaReserved/Spot Instances.
  • MaintainSOPs, provideL2/L3 support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth cloud operations.
  • Design, monitor, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, and Data Pipeline
  • Your the right fit if:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with key AWS services likeEC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, Cloud Front, Route 53, andCloud Formation.
  • Proficiency in IaC tools such asTerraform,AWS Cloud Formation, orAWS CDKfor automated provisioning.
  • Strong scripting skills inPython, Bash, orPowerShellto automate cloud operations and workflows.
  • Experience withCloud Watch, CloudTrail,Prometheus,Datadog, orELK Stackfor system visibility and proactive issue detection.
  • Working knowledge ofCI/CD pipelinesusing tools likeAWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, orGitHub Actions.
  • Solid understanding ofAWS networking(VPC, VPN, ALB/NLB, Direct Connect) and security tools (IAM, KMS, Guard Duty, Security Hub).
  • Strongproblem-solving,communication, anddocumentationskills; able to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with provisioning, managing, and renewing SSL/TLS certificates using AWS ACM. Familiar with integrating ACM with services like Cloud Front, ELB, and API Gateway to secure endpoints and ensure encrypted communication.
  • Exhibits solid expertise in configuring and managing Envoy as an API gateway and reverse proxy. Understands advanced routing, load balancing, service discovery, traffic splitting, and observability features.
  • Demonstrates understanding of High Availability (HA) architectures and deployment models such as Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments.
  • Preferred Qualifications(Nice to Have):
  • AWS Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration tools (EKS, Docker, Helm). Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments (AWS + On-Premise Integration).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident and change management
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare standards like HL7, FHIR etc.
