We're looking for a QA Tester with 15 years of experience to join our highly active and collaborative team.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Software Quality Assurance Tester. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and managing test cases, identifying software issues and inconsistencies, collaborating with developers to resolve errors, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. The Tester will also be expected to analyze and report on software performance metrics and support continuous improvement in the quality assurance process.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure product quality across web platforms and backend services
- API & Backend Testing: Perform thorough API testing, validate request/response structures, and ensure correctness of backend logic and data flows
- Data & Financial Validation: Validate financial calculations (e.g., returns, volatility, drawdowns) and ensure consistency across internal systems and external data sources
- Cross-Browser & Cross-Device Testing: Utilize TestMu AI (formerly LambdaTest) to perform cross-browser and cross-device testing, identifying and documenting defects
- Bug Tracking & Reporting: Log, track, and clearly communicate issues, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
- Regression Testing: Maintain and expand regression test suites to safeguard product stability across releases
- Performance & Load Awareness: Assist in basic performance and load testing (e.g., using k6), and help identify bottlenecks or stability issues
- Collaboration with Engineering & Research: Work closely with engineering and research teams to validate quantitative models and ensure accuracy of outputs
- Quality Assurance Standards: Uphold and contribute to QA best practices, continuously improving testing processes and coverage
Job Requirements:
- 15 years of hands-on experience in QA or software testing, with a solid understanding of the full test lifecycle - from planning and methodology to defect management and resolution
- Proficiency with cross-browser testing platforms such as BrowserStack or TestMu AI (formerly LambdaTest)
- Proven experience with both manual and automated testing approaches, including API testing tools such as Postman or similar REST clients
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework - Selenium, Playwright, or a Python-based testing suite
- Ability to validate numerical and data-heavy outputs with a high degree of accuracy; experience with data-intensive or financial applications is a strong plus
- Basic familiarity with financial concepts such as returns, volatility, and drawdowns (preferred)
- Familiarity with error monitoring tools such as Sentry or AWS CloudWatch (plus)
- Exposure to performance or load testing tools such as k6 (plus)
- Sharp attention to detail and strong communication skills
