Job Description

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy & Governance: Define, own, and continuously evolve the QA strategy, governance model, and quality standards across all programs and delivery streams.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a QA team of 50+ engineers, including distributed and global teams, fostering a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.

Quality Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete end-to-end Quality Lifecycle — from requirements analysis and test planning through execution, defect management, and production monitoring.

Test Automation: Champion and expand test automation across UI, API, and performance testing layers; evaluate, select, and standardise frameworks aligned to engineering goals.

CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Drive integration of QA practices into CI/CD pipelines; implement shift-left and shift-right testing methodologies to catch defects earlier and monitor quality in production.

Agile & Engineering Practices: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps leadership to embed QA into Agile ceremonies and modern engineering workflows.

Metrics & Reporting: Define and track quality KPIs and SLAs; present quality health dashboards and risk assessments to senior stakeholders.

Innovation & AI: Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted testing tools and methodologies to drive efficiency, coverage, and predictive quality insights.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within software services organisations.

• Demonstrated experience in a QA Manager or QA Lead role, with accountability for end-to-end quality lifecycle management.

• Proven track record of managing and scaling QA teams of 50 or more engineers, including distributed and geographically dispersed teams.

• Strong expertise in defining QA strategy, Test Cases and Test Scripts, governance frameworks, and best practices at a program or enterprise level.

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks covering UI automation (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress), API testing (e.g., RestAssured, Postman, Karate), and performance testing (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, k6).

• Practical experience integrating QA into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and implementing shift-left and shift-right testing strategies.

• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software engineering principles.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Must be based in Indore and willing to work full-time from the office.

Good to have

• Exposure to AI-led development practices — including AI-assisted test generation, intelligent defect prediction, or LLM-based quality tooling.

• Experience working on large-scale digital transformation or platform modernisation programs.

• Contributions to open-source testing tools or thought leadership in the QA community.
